Troubleshooting common issues
I can't log in
- Check your email address — make sure there are no typos.
- Reset your password — click "Forgot password?" on the login page.
- Check your 2FA code — TOTP codes expire every 30 seconds. Wait for the next code and try again.
- Cookies may be blocked — TASKTOGO requires cookies for authentication. Disable any privacy extension temporarily and try again.
- Try a different browser or incognito mode — this rules out extension conflicts.
If none of these help, contact support@tasktogo.com with your email address and a description of what happens.
I'm not receiving emails (password reset, invitations, etc.)
- Check your spam / junk folder.
- Search for emails from
noreply@tasktogo.com. - Ask your IT team if your company email system blocks external senders.
- Wait 5 minutes — delivery can occasionally be delayed.
The page looks broken or outdated
- Hard-refresh the page:
Ctrl + Shift + R(Windows) or⌘ + Shift + R(Mac). - Clear browser cache: Browser settings → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files.
- Disable browser extensions — ad blockers can interfere with the app.
Real-time features (chat, live updates) aren't working
TASKTOGO uses WebSocket connections for real-time features.
- Make sure you're not behind a proxy or firewall that blocks WebSocket (
ws://orwss://) connections. - Try a different network (e.g. mobile hotspot) to rule out network restrictions.
- Contact your IT team if you're on a corporate network.
I invited someone but they didn't get the email
- Verify you typed their email address correctly.
- Ask them to check spam.
- You can resend the invite: Group → Members → Pending invites → Resend.
File upload is failing
- Maximum file size is 20 MB per upload.
- Supported types: images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP), PDF, text, spreadsheets (xlsx/csv), ZIP.
- Check that your internet connection is stable — large file uploads can fail on slow connections.
The mobile app isn't loading
- Check your internet connection.
- Force-close the app and reopen it.
- Update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
- As a last resort, uninstall and reinstall the app. Your data is stored in the cloud and will sync again after signing in.
