Member roles & permissions

Assign roles, manage permissions, and remove or suspend members.

Manage team members

Group admins can invite, remove, and change the roles of members at any time.

Member roles

There can only be one owner per group.

Invite members

  1. Open your group and click Members.
  2. Click Invite members.
  3. Enter one or more email addresses (comma-separated).
  4. Select the role for all invitees (you can change it later).
  5. Click Send invites.

If the person already has a TASKTOGO account, they're added immediately and notified. Otherwise they receive an email invitation and are added once they register.

Change a member's role

  1. Go to Members.
  2. Find the person and click the menu next to their name.
  3. Select Change role.
  4. Choose the new role.

Suspend a member

If you need to temporarily block access without removing them from the group:

  1. Go to Members → ⋮ → Suspend member.
  2. The member sees a "suspended" message and cannot interact with any group content.
  3. To reinstate them, choose ⋮ → Unsuspend.

Remove a member

  1. Go to Members → ⋮ → Remove from group.
  2. Confirm in the dialog.

The removed member immediately loses access. Their past contributions (messages, tasks they created) remain visible to other members.

Bulk actions

Select multiple members using the checkbox column:

  • Remove selected — remove all checked members at once.
  • Change role — set the same role for all checked members.
