Push notifications — web browser

TASKTOGO can deliver push notifications directly to your browser, even when the tab is not open.

Enable browser push notifications

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Click Enable browser push notifications.
  3. Your browser will show a permission prompt — click Allow.

Once enabled, you'll see a confirmation that push is active for this browser.

What you'll receive

Browser push notifications are sent for:

  • New @mentions in any group you're a member of.
  • Task assignments.
  • Task due-date reminders.
  • New direct messages (if enabled).

Disable browser push notifications

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Click Disable browser push notifications.

You can also revoke the permission directly in your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Site settings → Notifications → ttg.tasktogo.com → Remove.
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Notifications → Remove.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Notifications → Remove.

Notifications not arriving?

  • Make sure your browser is up to date.
  • Check that your system has not blocked notifications for the browser in OS settings (macOS: System Preferences → Notifications; Windows: Settings → Notifications).
  • Make sure your computer is not on Do Not Disturb mode.
  • Some browsers (like Brave) block push by default — check Brave Shields settings.
  • Push notifications require an active internet connection at the time of delivery.
