Calendar module
The Calendar module is TASKTOGO's operational planning surface. It combines event scheduling, project/task timeline bars, split lanes, snap planning, bulk actions, and import/export workflows in one place.
What you can do in Calendar
- Plan events in hour/day/week/month/agenda views.
- Switch between Events mode and Records mode.
- Organize work by split lanes (projects, tasks, members, absence, and enabled module splits).
- Move, resize, duplicate, and bulk-edit events.
- Use snap templates for standardized planning windows.
- Import and export
.icsfiles. - Print schedule-ready views for handoff.
- Review event audit history and permission guidance.

Calendar UI is built from reusable primitives. You will encounter these patterns throughout the module:

Quick start workflow
- Open your group and select Calendar from the sidebar.
- Choose Day or Week view.
- Click + New event (or click an open slot).
- Enter title, start, end, and optional note.
- Save.
- Select the event to open details.
- Drag or resize as needed.
Core workflows
1. Choose the right view
- Use the view segmented control to select:
- Hour for fine-grained scheduling.
- Day for detailed one-day operations.
- Week for team coordination.
- Month for high-level planning and density scanning.
- Agenda for list-based review and grouped analysis.
- Use Today to jump back to current date.
- Use the date picker for direct date navigation.
2. Switch editing model (Events vs Records)
- Select Events mode to manage foreground event tiles.
- Select Records mode to manage underlying project/task bars.
- Use Events mode for day-to-day planning updates.
- Use Records mode for structural schedule shifts across records.
3. Create and edit events
- Create via + New event or empty-slot click.
- Enter required values: title, start, end.
- Add optional note/description and row context.
- Save.
- Open existing events to edit in the event modal.
- Save changes or cancel.
4. Move, resize, duplicate, and delete
- Drag event body to move.
- Drag event edges to resize.
- Right-click an event for context actions:
- Open
- Duplicate
- Delete
- For multi-delete, select several events and use toolbar delete.
5. Work with splits and lanes
- Open Splits manager from toolbar.
- Enable/disable available module splits.
- Plan events in the correct lane for ownership clarity.
- Use split-aware row structure to keep projects/tasks/members separated.
6. Configure snap behavior
Snap is available at two levels:
- Base snap grain: Off, 15m, Day.
- Template-based snap windows: named, colored, day-by-day ranges.
Step-by-step:
- Set base snap from toolbar pills.
- Toggle snap templates on/off from toolbar.
- Open Snap manager.
- Create/edit templates with:
- Name
- Color
- Weekday start/end
- Optional line title
- Save template and apply.
Overnight windows are supported.
7. Use selection and bulk actions
- Select one or more events.
- Use Edit notes to apply a shared note in bulk.
- Use Delete for selected events when needed.
- Confirm destructive actions in modal dialogs.
8. Search and focus matching events
- Enter text in toolbar search.
- Review live match badge status.
- Clear search with the clear control.
- Continue planning with filtered foreground events.
Search visibility can be disabled in some edit contexts.
9. Month view operations
- Switch to Month.
- Set per-day density (3, 5, or 8 chips).
- Click day cells to focus and drill down.
- Drag event chips across days to reschedule.
- Open event chips for detail editing.
10. Agenda view operations
- Switch to Agenda.
- Set Group by to day, kind, or calendar.
- Navigate month windows with previous/next controls.
- Open and act on events from list rows.
11. Records mode bar actions
In Records mode, bars support specialized actions.
- Right-click a bar for:
- Copy dates
- Shift -1 day
- Shift -1 week
- Shift +1 day
- Shift +1 week
- Drag or resize bars directly.
- Use keyboard nudging for focused bars.
12. Import, export, and subscription
Import .ics
- Click import icon.
- Select an
.icsfile. - Calendar parses and maps events into current calendar context.
Export .ics
- Click export icon.
- Download visible events as
.ics.
Subscribe (read-only feed)
- Go to Settings -> Integrations -> Calendar.
- Copy iCal URL.
- Subscribe from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or Outlook.

13. Print for operational handoff
- Set view and date scope.
- Click print.
- Print directly or save to PDF.
Use this for daily standups, shift handovers, and site dispatch packs.
14. Audit and permission guidance
Event details can include audit context and history.
Use it to answer:
- What changed?
- When did it change?
- Who changed it?
When row permissions block an action, the permission modal explains why and identifies assignees/owners relevant to that row.

- Arrow nudging applies to focused events/bars based on mode.

Troubleshooting
Event appears at wrong time
- Confirm local timezone and intended start/end values.
- Reopen event details and verify date-time fields.
Event is missing
- Clear search.
- Confirm active view/date range.
- Verify split visibility and row context.
Cannot edit a row
- Check permission modal guidance.
- Confirm role/ownership for that split row.
Import is disabled
- Ensure calendar has valid row context for imported events.
- Recheck split configuration.
Snap behavior is unexpected
- Verify base snap (Off/15m/Day).
- Verify active snap templates.
